It's a bit sweet, bit tangy, and nicely creamy. I spend years thinking I got it from my dad, but then one day he saw me and was like WTH are you doing? So apparently I was creating crazy recipes even at a young age haha.Xiaolu @ 6 Bittersweetshttp://www.6bittersweets.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2628776998814234909.post-51444494701437791342011-06-16T12:05:10.250-05:002011-06-16T12:05:10.250-05:00Lana - you are so right. makes a good light/full ...Lana - you are so right. makes a good light/full lunch
Sameep - Thanks for commenting. I agree. The restaurant/deli ones are so disappointing!
Adair - (aka Lentil!) I would love to see a photo of the organic red potatoes! Thanks for reading!
FamilySpice - I think the potato gives everyone a carb scare, but it doesn't have to be so potato-y! And yes, I find hand writing something a chore and more and more unfamiliar! Something about all the flavors melting together... mmmmm.... yum! And I do write a little something on the 100 or so holiday cards I send out every year and it is definitely a chore!FamilySpicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13466694000901178287noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2628776998814234909.post-83639203337467482452011-06-16T09:08:41.536-05:002011-06-16T09:08:41.536-05:00I love your commentary and great pics. I have definitely lost the art of the baked potato and just bought a bag of organic reds the other day not knowing what I'd do with them, but now I know. Though I'm not a sports fan, I think the Miami Heat looks pretty damn good too. ; )Adair Seldonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06730413158534803770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2628776998814234909.post-12877896583071684822011-06-15T10:09:52.081-05:002011-06-15T10:09:52.081-05:00See and that's why the best way to stave off a...See and that's why the best way to stave off a robot invasion is to write in cursive. Just kidding!

All kidding aside though - I agree it's not all about the potato. I once made the mistake of ordering from a local restaurant and they had 2 ingredients on their Baked Potato - Cheese & Sour cream. I'd rather just make it myself.

I've tried the "Dallas Mavericks" recipe and it's really good!Sameepnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2628776998814234909.post-76589450033034942692011-06-14T11:46:24.660-05:002011-06-14T11:46:24.660-05:00I am one of the brave souls that tenaciously keeps...I am one of the brave souls that tenaciously keeps baked potato alive (we love plain yogurt, and I use it rather than sour cream). I would eat it right out of the oven with a bit of salt, but the girls (and my American husband) love the "works".
Your Mom's potato truly rocks! If I have a soup before and a salad with it, it's a full meal.
You continue to make me laugh - your sense of humor is infectious!
